Pharmacy First

Pharmacy First, at five minutes a consultation

Pharmacy First pays the same whether the consultation takes twenty minutes or five. RxReady moves the slow parts out of the room, so the appointment itself is only the part that needs a pharmacist.

This page covers the consultation itself. The way patients find you, ring you and book in the first place is on the patient journey on the homepage.

01Patient

The form comes to them

However they got in touch, they receive the same private link by text. They answer the clinical questions on their phone: history, medicines, allergies, photos of the symptom. Answering no conditions, medicines or allergies once skips around 130 follow-ups. Ten minutes on their sofa, none at your counter.

02You

You open it already answered

The workspace opens with the NHS pathway part-completed. Everything the patient answered is pre-filled and badged for review. Everything the pathway still needs is flagged. Your job in the room is the short list that is left, not the whole flowchart.

03Together

In person, or entirely by video

Suitable conditions run end to end by video, so a patient can go from first message to treated without leaving their bed. Anything that needs examining, an ear for instance, is steered to a walk-in automatically. Either way, the visit is examination and advice, not an interview.

04You

The write-up is done before they leave

The NHS-compliant note is drafted from the decisions you made on the pathway. Read it, change a line, export the PDF. The consultation is documented and ready to claim while the patient is still putting their coat on.

Where the time goes

A walk-in consultation

about 20 min in the room

History taking · 9 minExamination and advice · 6 minWrite-up · 5 min

Everything happens in the room, on your clock.

With RxReady

about 5 min in the room

Remaining questions · 1 minExamination and advice · 3 minNote review · 1 min

History happens at the patient's kitchen table. The write-up is a review, not a chore.

Typical timings for a straightforward case. Your times will vary by condition and patient. The examination gets faster because you walk in knowing exactly what to check, not because anything is skipped.

More patients start in the first place

A consultation you can start from WhatsApp at eleven at night and finish by video from bed attracts patients who would never join a phone queue. More patients starting, more fitting into each session: more Pharmacy First claims every month.

The scheme figures behind the homepage calculator: £17 a consultation, £500 at twenty consultations a month, £1,000 at thirty. Each pharmacy has its own monthly cap set by NHSBSA from its delivery history, and the monthly payment also requires registration for the hypertension and contraception services.

Every route hands the patient the same private form link by text. No app, no account, no front-desk triage by whoever happened to pick up.

The baseline, not the ceiling

The same system runs every service you offer

Found, contacted, booked, prepared, recorded: none of that is specific to Pharmacy First. Travel health, weight management, emergency contraception, vaccinations, any private clinic runs the same way. We sit down with you, go through every service you offer, and set each one up on the same system. Pharmacy First is where it proves itself. Your private services are where it earns most.

Run the same arithmetic on your own services.

Forty-five minutes, your numbers, and a straight answer on whether it is worth doing.
